Continental Divide Restaurant & Bistro

Fresh local and regional ingredients, an extensive wine list and a creative chef come together at the Continental Divide Restaurant.  Fine dining in a true Bistro style with excellent cuisine and service but where diners are welcome in casual attire.  Dine alfresco on a lovely summer evening and take in the mountain views. Orginially located on Main Street in Ennis, the Continental Divide’s new location north of Ennis creates a warm, convivial atmosphere where guests recall their day’s adventures in Yellowstone or on the Madison River while enjoying a selection from the wines hand-chosen by Chef Eric from both large and small wineries from the northwest and beyond. In operation since 1982, current chef and owner Eric Trapp has built on the tradition begun by Jay and Karen Bentley in Ennis, Montana.  The Continental Divide menu places a special focus on game, poultry and seafood, but includes delicate Wagu beef, lamb and locally sourced pork dishes that vary by the season.  From training by Lyle McCullough in Ellensburg, Washington to experience in Seattle and Maui, Chef Eric combines classic technique with creative use of proteins, grains, fresh produce and culinary imagination. Open late May through October.  Reservations recommended: 406 682-7600
