Hunter’s Feed – 33rd Annual
Oct 19, 2018– Mountain lion cordon bleu? Moose brownies? Elk pizza? Where else can you try these but on Main Street Ennis for the 33rd Annual Hunter’s Feed. Local chefs offer up their most creative dishes, best stews, and chili of all kinds from wild game. Hunters, families, friends and join in the tasting and voting. Pride and bragging rights until next year are at stake! Trophies are awarded for best non-chili, best chili and best overall.
Along with the food, many informational booths are set up. Tips on hunting safety, GPS information, bear spray demonstrations, outfitters and natural resource agencies such as the US Forest Service, Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks and the Bureau of Land Management are all on hand to answer questions and provide up to date information to the hunters getting ready to head out for opening day. The VFW has its annual Poppy Sale and you can usually find a bake-sale raising money for a good cause with great homemade treats. And don’t forget to by a ticket on the VFW Rifle Raffle at the Longbranch.
No cost to join the fun, but exculsive Hunter’s Feed T-shirts and a 50/50 raffle are held to help support the event and the Ennis Chamber of Commerce.

The eating starts at 3:00 and ends when it’s gone…usually by 5:00! Event is held no matter the weather and local watering holes will help you wash down that spicy chili!
