Lions Club Halloween Carnival
Oct 31, 2017 – For a true family experience, come and join the fun at the Lions Club Halloween Carnival. This special event is an annual tradition in Ennis and gives everyone in the community a chance to share in the fun! The carnival is set up by the Lion’s Club and clubs and organizations from the high school to the pre-school use the event to create a safe and fun Halloween and bring in funds for their activities during the school year.
A favorite event is the pie-throwing booth with willing teachers as targets. Expert bakers bring fabulous cakes for the cake-walk and the Junior class creates a thriller haunted house for those with the nerve to enter. Prizes are awarded for several costume categories and it is always fun to see the little ones dressed as bumble bees or pea pods! Older kids seem to revel in the zombie craze, but it is all in good fun.
But that’s not all! A prize-filled Bingo game continues during the carnival and generous donations from local merchants are carried home by the dedicated card-fillers. Bikes, pies, gallons of propane or gasoline, services and housewares are all up for grabs.
Of course, it wouldn’t be much of an evening without food. Hot cider, hot dogs, chili, baked goods and, of course, CANDY are all available. Halloween in Montana is often cold and snowy…come inside and join the fun at the carnival where it is warm and friendly!
